This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist Revenue Cycle Supervisors and the Revenue Cycle Department.
• Supervise day-to-day operations of the Revenue Cycle Team.
• Ensure timely and precise submission of claims, appeals, and cash postings.
• Track performance, manage work queues, and achieve production targets.
• Support the training and evaluation of staff within the Revenue Cycle department.
• Create and maintain procedures for claims processing, appeals, cash postings, and related tasks.
• Execute billing transactions and fulfill month-end processing requirements.
• Conduct ad-hoc audits.
• Manage escalations and keep leadership updated.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on systems, workflows, and guidelines.
• Educate team members and recommend updates to billing processes or workflows.
• Provide additional departmental resources for special projects and high-volume tasks.
• Collaborate throughout the department to enhance productivity.
• Participate in mandatory staff and company meetings.
• Adhere to the company's mission, values, Quality Management System policies, and procedures.
• Work assigned schedules, including overtime, nights, and weekends as required.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership role, either directly or indirectly.
• At least 2 years of experience in medical or insurance billing.
• Prior experience with billing software is essential.
• Proven knowledge of medical billing principles and practices.
• Strong understanding of payer categories such as Medicare, Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, and Insurance Payers.
• Professional familiarity with ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding.
• Proficient knowledge of CPT coding.
• Expertise in reading and interpreting EOBs for all payers.
• Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrated ability to perform essential duties with or without accommodation.
• Must have authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Capable of successfully completing an assessment of Exact Sciences Epic processes with a score of 80% or higher.
• Preferred: 4+ years of experience in medical billing and collections.
• Preferred: Associate Degree, Vocational/Technical degree, or certification.
• Preferred: 3+ years of medical billing experience within the healthcare sector.
