Revenue Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Ensure timely and accurate revenue recognition in line with ASC 606 and organizational policies.

• Reconcile billing, revenue, and general ledger transactions across NetSuite, NetSuite SuiteBilling, Zuora Billing, and Zuora Revenue.

• Identify and resolve discrepancies related to revenue and billing.

• Prepare journal entries, accruals, reclassifications, and accompanying documentation.

• Manage reconciliations for Deferred Revenue, Unbilled Revenue, Accounts Receivable, and Bad Debt balances.

• Analyze month-over-month revenue changes and provide explanations for variances.

• Collaborate with Billing and Operations teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of transactions.

• Assist in revenue recognition reviews for subscription, recurring, and usage-based billing arrangements.

• Support testing and validation of system enhancements and configuration updates within NetSuite and Zuora platforms.

• Maintain process documentation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

• Facilitate internal and external audits by supplying supporting schedules, documentation, and explanations.

• Work closely with Accounting, Billing, Finance, and Operations teams to enhance revenue and billing processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• 3-5 years of experience in accounting, specifically in revenue accounting, billing, or general ledger accounting.

• Knowledge of ASC 606 and revenue recognition principles.

• Experience in conducting account reconciliations and managing month-end close processes.

• Familiarity with ERP systems; experience with NetSuite is preferred.

• Preferred experience with NetSuite SuiteBilling, Zuora Billing, or Zuora Revenue.

• Proficient in Excel, including the use of pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis.

• Experience in supporting audit requests and preparing financial documentation.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
