This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Conduct scheduled diabetic eye examinations and retinal screenings for members at healthcare provider locations.
• Travel to healthcare provider offices and patient residences for organized appointments.
• Utilize company-issued retinal imaging devices.
• Assist in addressing gaps in eye exams and related quality measures.
• Complete company-mandated training prior to independently performing exams.
• Maintain proficiency through continuous training as required.
• Oversee daily scheduling of eye exam appointments.
• Confirm appointments with both practices and patients ahead of time.
• Coordinate travel arrangements.
• Foster and sustain relationships with colleagues, customers, providers, payers, and care teams.
• Contribute to quality enhancement, reporting, patient outreach, and customer satisfaction initiatives.
• Participate in virtual engagements with team members and internal stakeholders on days without appointments.
• Adhere to security protocols and procedures to safeguard PHI, PII, and company intellectual property.
• Willingness and ability to travel daily, potentially up to 100%, to provider sites.
• Must be a local resident in the Nashville, TN area.
• No prior experience in eye exams or imaging is necessary; comprehensive training and equipment will be provided.
• A valid driver's license and dependable transportation are required.
• An associate degree or higher in a relevant field.
• At least 1–3 years of experience in a healthcare environment.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, quality metrics, medical billing, or coding is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, and various healthcare-related systems or applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
• Capability to meet strict deadlines.
• Ability to work collaboratively with management, colleagues, customers, providers, payers, and care teams.
• Ability to function independently in a remote work setting.
• Internet connection with minimum speeds of 100 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload.
• Certification or licensure as a healthcare professional, such as CMA or LPN, is a plus.
• Paid travel time.
