This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Conduct scheduled diabetic eye examinations and retinal screenings for members at healthcare provider facilities and in patients' homes.
• Utilize company-issued retinal imaging devices.
• Complete the provided training on retinal imaging technology and eye examination protocols before performing exams independently.
• Maintain proficiency through continuous training as required.
• Manage a daily schedule for eye examination appointments.
• Confirm appointments with both practices and patients ahead of time.
• Coordinate travel arrangements effectively.
• Assist in addressing eye examination and related quality gaps.
• Engage virtually with team members, internal partners, customers, providers, payers, and care teams on non-appointment days.
• Foster and sustain robust professional relationships with colleagues, customers, providers, payers, and care teams.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, reporting, patient outreach, and customer success efforts.
• Adhere to security policies and procedures to safeguard PHI, PII, and Guidehealth intellectual property.
• Must be a resident of the Philadelphia, PA area.
• Willingness and capability to travel daily, up to 100%, to provider practices.
• No previous eye examination or imaging experience is necessary; comprehensive training and equipment will be provided.
• Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation are essential.
• An associate degree or higher in a relevant field is required.
• A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a healthcare environment.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, quality measures, medical billing, or coding is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, and various healthcare-related systems or applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are vital.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities are necessary.
• Ability to adhere to strict deadlines.
• Capacity to collaborate effectively with management, colleagues, customers, providers, payers, and care teams.
• Ability to work autonomously in a remote setting.
• Certification or licensure as a healthcare professional, such as CMA or LPN, is preferred.
• A reliable internet connection capable of supporting video calls and internal/external systems: minimum 100 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload is required.
• Travel time is compensated.
• Mileage and travel expenses related to eye examination visits are covered by the company.
