This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Conduct scheduled diabetic eye examinations and retinal screenings for members at healthcare provider locations.
• Travel to healthcare provider facilities and patient residences for scheduled eye examination appointments.
• Utilize company-provided retinal imaging technology.
• Assist in addressing eye examination and related quality gaps.
• Complete the company's training program prior to performing exams independently.
• Maintain skill proficiency through continuous training.
• Oversee a daily schedule of eye examination appointments.
• Confirm appointments with both practices and patients.
• Coordinate travel arrangements.
• Foster and sustain relationships with colleagues, customers, providers, payers, and care teams.
• Engage virtually with team members and partners on days without appointments.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, reporting, patient outreach, and customer success efforts.
• Adhere to security protocols to safeguard PHI, PII, and company intellectual property.
• Readiness and capability to travel daily, up to 100%, to healthcare provider locations.
• No previous experience in eye examinations or imaging is necessary; comprehensive training and equipment are supplied.
• Valid driver's license and dependable transportation required.
• An associate degree or higher in a relevant field is preferred.
• A minimum of 1–3 years of experience in a healthcare environment.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, quality measures, medical billing, or coding is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, and healthcare-related software or applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities are required.
• Capability to meet strict deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with management, colleagues, customers, providers, payers, and care teams.
• Capacity to work independently in a remote setting.
• Candidates must reside locally in the Philadelphia, PA area.
• Minimum internet speed of 100 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload is required.
• Availability during specified working hours and participation in virtual meetings with cameras on is necessary.
• Certification or licensure as a healthcare professional, such as CMA or LPN, is preferred.
• Travel to and from appointments is reimbursed by the company.
• Travel time is compensated.
• Mileage and travel expenses related to eye examination visits are covered by the company.
