This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Conduct scheduled diabetic eye examinations and retinal screenings for members at provider locations.
• Travel to provider offices and patients' homes for pre-arranged eye exam appointments.
• Utilize company-supplied retinal imaging equipment.
• Assist in closing eye exam-related quality gaps.
• Complete required training provided by the company prior to independently performing exams.
• Maintain skills through ongoing training as necessary.
• Oversee daily scheduling of eye exam appointments.
• Confirm appointments with practices and patients ahead of time.
• Coordinate travel arrangements.
• Engage with team members, internal partners, customers, providers, payers, and care teams virtually on non-appointment days.
• Develop and sustain strong working relationships with stakeholders.
• Contribute to quality improvement, reporting, patient outreach, and customer success initiatives.
• Adhere to security policies and procedures for the protection of PHI, PII, and the company’s intellectual property.
• Willingness and capability to travel daily, up to 100%, to provider practices.
• Must live locally in the Nashville, TN area.
• No previous experience in eye exams or imaging is needed; comprehensive training and equipment will be provided.
• Valid driver's license and dependable transportation are required.
• An associate degree or higher in a relevant field is necessary.
• A minimum of 1–3 years of experience in a healthcare environment is required.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, quality metrics, medical billing, or coding is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, and various healthcare-related systems or applications is essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities are required.
• Capability to meet strict deadlines is essential.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with management, colleagues, customers, providers, payers, and care teams.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Internet connection with at least 100 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speeds is required.
• Availability during designated working hours is necessary.
• Certification or licensure as a healthcare professional, such as CMA or LPN, is preferred.
• Mileage reimbursement in accordance with IRS guidelines.
