This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver on-site technical assistance for FAA programs and systems including FTI, MS, ADS-B, DCNS, WMSS, and others.
• Install, troubleshoot, configure, test, and conduct preventive maintenance on equipment at customer remote sites.
• Operate remotely in both scheduled and on-call roles at designated customer locations; occasional travel outside the assigned region may be necessary.
• Interpret and adhere to equipment schematics and task orders.
• Document activities and take notes during visits to customer sites.
• Collaborate with NOCC, SAC, and Helpdesk via phone to address field-related issues.
• Manage tools, testing equipment, parts/electronics, vehicle inventory, and personal or company vehicles.
• Prepare for designated tasks prior to deployment.
• Be available to work outside of regular hours as required to fulfill customer demands.
• Lift items weighing up to 32 lbs. and utilize ladders and step stools to reach heights of approximately 10 feet.
• Coordinate with the supervisor/ASL to comply with L3Harris and program-specific guidelines and procedures.
• High School Diploma or equivalent, along with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience; OR a 2-year post-secondary/Associate's Degree combined with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License and a satisfactory driving record.
• Capable of obtaining and maintaining an FAA security clearance.
• Certifications such as Network+, CCNA, CCNP, CCNA Wireless, A+ are preferred.
• Ability to work from home while in an “on-call” status.
• Willingness to travel up to 100% of the time to remote locations within a 3-hour driving radius from the base location; travel outside the designated area may also be required.
• Proficient in using ladders and step stools to reach heights of approximately 10 feet.
• Willingness and ability to work outside of standard hours and respond to after-hours emergency calls.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Capacity to thrive in a high-stress and high-visibility environment.
• Solid understanding of cable connectors such as RJ-11, RJ-45, DB-25, V.35, and RS-449.
• Strong working knowledge of fiber, multiplexes, network topology, Frame Relay, Fractional T-1, SONET Network Technology, ATM, Private Line, and voice/data applications.
• Good understanding of AC/DC power testing, including 3-phase AC, and 24VDC/48VDC power supplies.
• Experience with T1, DS3, digital/BERT, and analog VG testing in accordance with Bell Core Standards.
• Familiarity with and usage of JDSU HST, Ameritech AM5XT, Sage 935, digital oscilloscope, Halcyon 704A, Para-scope, or other T1/DS3 testing equipment.
• Knowledge of IP-based systems with experience in configuring routers and switches.
