Retail Partner Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee a portfolio of retail partners, serving as Instacart’s main strategic liaison with full accountability.

• Spot growth opportunities, assess gaps, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in product, engineering, marketing, operations, and strategic finance.

• Convert platform data and partner performance metrics into strategic insights and recommendations for retailer leadership.

• Implement partnership strategies with accountability and urgency across various workstreams and a dynamic portfolio.

• Develop a comprehensive understanding of Instacart’s platform features, growth drivers, and operational intricacies.

• Strengthen partner relationships at the CEO and Owner levels, driving quantifiable growth outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in partnerships, account management, business development, or a similar client-facing commercial position.

• Proven experience in managing and expanding complex, multi-stakeholder senior-level relationships, including contacts at the Director, VP, and C-suite levels.

• Strong analytical abilities with a knack for working directly with data to identify trends, extract insights, and construct strategic narratives.

• Demonstrated success in achieving measurable outcomes such as revenue growth, product adoption, or operational enhancements within an account portfolio.

• Experience in coordinating cross-functional teams or resources without direct management authority.

• Preferred: background in e-commerce, grocery, retail, or marketplace platforms.

• Preferred: capability to present executive-level business reviews or strategic roadmaps to senior retail or CPG leadership.

• Preferred: comfort in navigating ambiguous and rapidly scaling environments.

• Preferred: experience collaborating cross-functionally with product and engineering teams.
