Retail Loan Officer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Actively generate mortgage leads through networking, prospecting, and building relationships.

• Develop and sustain a robust network of realtors, builders, and other referral sources to enhance new purchase business.

• Assist borrowers throughout the loan process with professionalism and effective communication.

• Evaluate borrower credit, income, and assets to suggest suitable loan products.

• Work closely with processing, underwriting, and closing teams to guarantee timely and compliant loan closings.

• Keep up-to-date with mortgage products, lending guidelines, and market trends.

• Represent the company at community and industry events to increase visibility and expand your referral network.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field is preferred.

• Active NMLS license along with all necessary state licensing.

• At least 2 years of recent loan origination experience in a purchase-driven, self-sourced environment.

• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain referral relationships that consistently generate funded volume.

• Strong knowledge of Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, and Jumbo products.

• Exceptional sales, communication, and relationship-building skills.

• Proficient in loan origination systems (e.g., Byte, Encompass, or similar) and standard business software.

• Highly self-motivated and entrepreneurial; excels at working independently, managing daily tasks, and achieving results without direct supervision.

• Strong organizational skills, capable of prioritizing multiple files and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated, high-potential candidates.
