Retail Food Safety Auditor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Perform audits to ensure compliance with food safety standards in the designated territory.

• Offer guidance and training regarding food safety and sanitation infractions.

• Relay recommended corrective measures to personnel at the site level.

• Familiarize yourself with account standards, engage in initial calibration procedures, and successfully pass the calibration assessment.

• Conduct audits utilizing an Android or iOS tablet.

• Travel to client locations to carry out audits.

• Update or replace wall charts, job aids, stickers, test strips, and other related materials.

• Assess equipment service requirements and coordinate technician assistance when necessary or when quick resolutions are not feasible.

• Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with customers.

• Execute internal reporting and administrative responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma (or equivalent) along with an associate degree, and a minimum of 2+ years of experience in supporting retail food safety and sanitation initiatives.

• Certified Professional – Food Safety (CP-FS) credential from NEHA, or the capability to obtain it within 6 months of the start date (not applicable for candidates holding REHS/RS credential).

• Valid U.S. driver’s license.

• Willingness to travel regionally, which includes about 30% overnight travel.

• Excellent time management skills, self-driven, strong communication abilities, and a professional demeanor.
