Retail District Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.

📋 Description

• Deliver effective leadership and management to the Retail Coverage Merchandiser/Lead Merchandiser team within your designated geographic area. This encompasses interviewing and hiring candidates, onboarding and training new team members, overseeing performance and career growth, addressing conflicts and personnel issues, and offering coaching and support.

• Cultivate and sustain a robust understanding of the company’s business model, client and customer specifics, and the particularities of the work processes.

• Allocate at least 50% of your time working in-store to guarantee a comprehensive grasp of business and project requirements.

• Oversee assigned tasks to ensure completion on schedule and with high-quality outcomes. Review project specifics to confirm that timelines are accurate and feasible, and ensure supporting documentation is up-to-date and correct.

• Delegate tasks to the team and ensure that all assignments receive the appropriate level of support. Monitor progress, audit work, respond to inquiries, troubleshoot issues, resolve personnel matters, and adjust resources as necessary. Ensure the provision of all essential materials, supplies, and equipment.

• Comprehend and enhance selling effectiveness in designated territories. Identify training needs, desired system and workflow enhancements, and maintain a balanced approach to store set/surge work and retail store coverage.

• Collaborate with store personnel and your team to achieve and uphold merchandising excellence. Discuss schedules and alterations, meet objectives and expectations, and foster effective working relationships. Be proactive in notifying management of any unsafe actions or conditions to prevent injuries.

• Ensure compliance with company policies by directly managed associates. This includes the proper upkeep of all company-owned equipment, accurate and timely expense reporting, and activity reporting within company guidelines.

• Convey retail territory responsibilities to the MEI admin team to ensure precision in the reporting systems. Utilize technology effectively and accurately, including MEI, to communicate retail priorities and coverage assessments, maintaining a robust feedback and measurement system.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.

• An Associate degree is preferred.

• Some college experience with prior management/supervisory experience, coupled with a minimum of 2+ years in the industry.

• Previous experience as a sales agent, in retail, customer service, or reset responsibilities.

• Strong interpersonal, organizational, decision-making, and leadership capabilities. Must possess effective communication skills.

• Self-motivated with a keen attention to detail.

• Quick to learn and adaptable to changing work environments.

• Valid driver’s license, access to reliable transportation, and the ability to drive a vehicle for extended durations.
