This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Timely response to requests for coverage at the Crisis Services Center;
• Addressing contacts from NRS and Comprehensive Community Based Youth Services (CCBYS);
• Ensuring high-quality documentation of all crisis-related communications;
• Reporting child abuse and neglect to the relevant authorities as mandated by law;
• Contributing to ongoing quality improvement initiatives;
• Safeguarding the confidentiality of the individuals we assist;
• Demonstrating respect and acceptance for all individuals and communities served by, partnered with, or employed by NRS;
• Complying with the policies and procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook;
• Actively participating, on camera, in regular supervision and staff meetings as required;
• Attending regular training sessions provided in-house, by partners, and for professional development;
• Availability to attend events at various locations using personal, rental, or public transportation;
• Engaging in assigned special projects and responding to ad hoc requests as needed.
• Knowledge and experience in a social services environment, preferably with crisis intervention;
• Flexible schedule with the capability to work some weekends and overnight shifts;
• Ability to promptly respond to short-term support requests;
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented;
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills;
• Strong interpersonal abilities, including effective communication with diverse teams and relationship building;
• Creative problem-solving skills coupled with a positive, solutions-focused approach;
• Capacity to be flexible and adapt to the changing needs of a dynamic team;
• Proven experience in prioritizing and managing projects from inception to completion, with a successful track record of meeting deadlines;
• Demonstrated organizational and multitasking capabilities;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook);
• Familiarity with data entry processes and the ability to use industry-specific software;
• Commitment to the mission and operational objectives of the National Runaway Safeline;
• Bilingual Spanish speaking preferred, but not mandatory.
