This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee the resource pool of the Tax department, monitoring utilization, capacity, and staffing requirements across tax services.
• Partner with Tax Directors, Engagement Partners, and Project Managers to anticipate staffing needs and allocate resources to engagements.
• Track engagement milestones, deadlines, and workload balance; recognize and escalate risks to leadership.
• Keep accurate staffing analytics and dashboards; deliver regular reports to assist with capacity planning and budgeting.
• Facilitate the onboarding, ramp-up, and continual development of personnel; ensure timesheet accuracy and compliance.
• Work alongside Recruiting and HR to address resource shortages; aid in peak-season planning and cross-training efforts.
• Maintain and systematically organize knowledge resources, standard tax workflows, and best practices to enhance efficiency.
• Act as a point of contact between Tax teams and other departments (Finance, IT, Quality & Risk) to foster cross-functional collaboration.
• Resolve resource-related challenges (availability, skills gaps) and suggest process improvements.
• Ensure the effective utilization of workload management tools and time-entry systems; advocate for data integrity.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in resource management, staffing, or project coordination within a professional services setting.
• Background in or knowledge of tax.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and convert it into actionable insights.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with workload management or ERP/time-entry systems.
• Knowledge of tax software or tax workflow tools is beneficial.
• Understanding of the tax engagement lifecycle (compliance and planning) is an advantage.
• Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
