This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Manage residential claims and engage with clients to provide guidance towards the resolution of claims.
• Conduct on-site assessments and evaluate damages.
• Designate suitable contractors or suppliers as necessary.
• Assess collected information to ascertain coverage.
• Deliver exceptional and personalized client service with prompt follow-ups.
• Oversee and resolve residential claims in alignment with operational standards.
• Balance the needs of clients and insurers during claim settlements.
• Prepare estimates and negotiate with contractors regarding residential repairs.
• Monitor expenses related to claim settlements.
• Support and contribute to the development of both internal and external colleagues.
• Engage in ongoing industry accreditation and training.
• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of home insurance policy coverage and claims processing.
• In-depth knowledge of residential construction methods and restoration practices.
• Experience in managing structural building damage claims.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.
• Good judgment in the settlement of claims.
• Proficient negotiation skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication competencies.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Clear Drivers Abstract.
• Proficient typing and computer skills.
• Familiarity with Xactanalysis/Xactimate, Guidewire ClaimCenter, and Microsoft Office.
• AMF licensing is considered an asset, or a commitment to obtain it within the first 12 months of employment.
• Bilingual proficiency in French and English is regarded as a significant asset.
• Ongoing participation in industry accreditation and training is mandatory.
