Resident Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Create High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) for medium to high complexity network requirements.

• Conduct capacity planning and analyze network interfaces.

• Offer comprehensive engineering support.

• Utilize planning tools within Advanced Network Planning.

• Independently generate configuration files, capacity plans, network interface analyses, and designs based on current traffic trends.

• Engage in parameter planning and product dimensioning activities.

• Develop configurations for new network elements for both live and testing environments.

• Resolve live network issues and problems identified during acceptance testing.

• Execute end-to-end physical network deployment design tasks, which include surveys, design work, and as-built documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in engineering or a related technical field, along with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience.

• Familiarity with Access Technologies such as GPON, XGS, and 25G.

• Understanding of SDAN, NETCONF, and YANG.

• Proficiency in Layer 2 and Layer 3 IP protocols, as well as Quality of Service (QoS).

• Experience with Automation using Python.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

• NSA/CAPS approval may be necessary for accessing a US customer network.
