Researcher III – Computational Fluid Dynamics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Designing and implementing high-fidelity simulation scenarios using tools like PeleLMeX to analyze combustion across various burner geometries.

• Acquiring, sustaining, and enhancing the Kynema suite of incompressible solvers.

• Employing advanced numerical techniques, including immersed boundary methods, to simulate complex geometries and bathymetry in flow analyses.

• Creating and optimizing property prediction models within computational frameworks such as FuelLib.

• Collaborating effectively with both internal and external partners, including industry and academic stakeholders, to further research goals and integrate new functionalities.

• Writing and co-authoring impactful scientific publications.

⛳️ Requirements

• Relevant PhD.

• Alternatively, a relevant Master's Degree accompanied by 3 or more years of experience.

• Or, a relevant Bachelor's Degree with 5 or more years of experience.

• Exhibits a comprehensive understanding and broad application of scientific technical procedures, principles, theories, and concepts in the field.

• General awareness of related disciplines.

• Demonstrates leadership in one or more areas of team, task, or project management responsibilities.

• Proven experience in project management.

• Excellent technical writing, interpersonal, and communication skills.
