This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create and manage systems for tracking and overseeing social science research.
• Organize regular meetings for teams and projects.
• Provide updates on project progress and pinpoint potential obstacles.
• Gather feedback from team members and assist in defining roles.
• Maintain effective communication with colleagues, partners, and project participants.
• Address concerns and requests from stakeholders.
• Monitor research trainings, certifications, renewals, as well as IRB applications and their renewals.
• Aid in the development of project charters, objectives, scope, deliverables, timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
• Keep project documentation, status reports, and meeting summaries up to date.
• Produce periodic project reports for team leadership.
• Assist in data management processes and systems.
• Contribute to budget planning and monitoring.
• Track project expenses and identify opportunities for cost savings.
• Coordinate compensation for research participants.
• Handle vendor invoices.
• Organize research convenings and manage vendors, rentals, and meals.
• Monitor conference and publication deadlines and submissions.
• Assist in grant writing and administration.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned.
• A Bachelor's degree and/or a demonstrated interest in social science, particularly education research and learning sciences.
• At least 2 years of experience in project coordination, project management, or research.
• Knowledge of ethical and practical requirements for applied social science research, especially concerning human subjects data.
• Strong organizational skills and sensitivity to the needs of colleagues and collaborators.
• Ability to independently identify project requirements, set objectives, plan, and execute tasks.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership abilities.
• Professional communication skills with a collegial approach.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing project demands.
• Capacity to focus on multiple projects while keeping broader goals in mind.
• Experience or a demonstrated interest in project management.
• Willingness to travel for conferences, team meetings, and research convenings as necessary.
