This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +3 more locations.
• Execute quantitative and qualitative research activities across various education research initiatives.
• Organize, clean, manage, and analyze data while maintaining data quality and integrity.
• Generate high-quality reports tailored for a variety of audiences.
• Assist in implementing research studies that evaluate the delivery, quality, fidelity, and potential cost-effectiveness of educational interventions.
• Aid in randomized control trials that measure the effects of interventions on children's foundational learning and well-being.
• Contribute to internal education research priorities under the guidance of senior researchers.
• Prepare reports, briefs, and blog posts aimed at practitioners and policymakers.
• Collaborate with teams in Education, Research, R&D, and other departments within IRC.
• Perform additional related tasks as assigned.
• A Master's degree in Education, Economics, Statistics, or a related discipline is required.
• Strong understanding of quantitative research methodologies, including inferential statistics and qualitative techniques.
• Familiarity with implementation research and causal inference is advantageous.
• Proven experience in data cleaning, management, and analysis.
• Proficient in at least one statistical or data analysis software, such as Stata, R, or Python.
• Knowledge of qualitative data methods, including thematic and content analysis, is desirable.
• Up to three years of experience in research, data analysis, or a related area; relevant internships, academic research, or volunteer experiences will be considered.
• Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to convey research findings clearly to non-specialist audiences.
• Experience in drafting reports, summaries, or briefs is an asset.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
• Fluency in English is mandatory.
• Proficiency in French or Arabic is preferred.
• Candidates must reside in Colombia, Kenya, or the United States of America and possess the right to work in their respective locations.
