This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assume responsibility for new products from their initial concept to commercialization.
• Lead the evaluation of ingredients and develop product formulations.
• Oversee products through laboratory testing, substantiation, and nutritional evaluation.
• Advance products through each development stage and prepare them for market introduction.
• Monitor category trends, ingredient research, scientific advancements, ingredient efficacy data, delivery methods, and published studies.
• Consolidate R&D scientific insights into a cohesive perspective on white space and pipeline prospects.
• Convert research findings into forward-looking innovation briefs.
• Collaborate with the Chief Scientist and external partners to create new products.
• Assess and refine existing products while evaluating the suitability of ingredients for formulations.
• Work with compliance teams to ensure that ingredients, labels, and marketing claims adhere to regulations.
• Partner with NPD, operations, growth, and marketing teams to facilitate product launches.
• Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in a technical field, including animal science and nutrition.
• Extensive background in product formulation.
• In-depth understanding of ingredients, their mechanisms, and quality variations.
• Experience in R&D for early-stage, untested ingredients.
• Proficiency in setting up and conducting in-vitro and in-vivo trials.
• Experience in reviewing and reporting trial data and outcomes.
• Capability to clearly explain and justify final formulations and product formats.
• Over 5 years of professional experience leading NPD projects as a key technical member of a cross-functional team.
• Practical experience managing complex projects through the successful launch of new products, packaging, and processes.
• Exceptional oral and written communication abilities.
• Skills in people development and a strong learning agility.
• Experience collaborating with external partners to fulfill project requirements.
• Ability to translate market intelligence, competitor activities, and scientific research into actionable innovation strategies and briefs.
