This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Perform a root-cause analysis on identified challenges, taking complete ownership from identification through resolution while effectively communicating any potential downstream effects.
• Establish the exceptions and reporting requirements necessary to guarantee accurate default reporting.
• Collaborate closely with default management on identified issues and/or regulatory changes, analyzing business processes and suggesting improvements to rectify data reporting errors.
• Validate and troubleshoot exception reports and default data from the system of record, ensuring that any discrepancies are recognized.
• Conduct data analysis to ensure precision prior to delivery to both internal and external customers.
• Modify existing reports to supply data for ad-hoc business requirements.
• Create and uphold documentation of processes (such as job aids, reports, and procedures) to ensure they remain current and accurate in accordance with department policy.
• Undertake additional duties and projects as assigned.
• High school diploma or equivalent professional experience.
• Over three (3+) years of experience in various functional areas within loan servicing, preferably in default.
• At least one (1) year of experience in data analysis and auditing large datasets to identify discrepancies.
• A solid understanding of loan servicing terminology.
• Familiarity with key loss mitigation programs and default timelines is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft SQL programming and scripting is advantageous.
• Ability to navigate loan servicing systems effectively.
• Proficient in MS Office, with advanced skills in Excel (including the use of formulas such as vlookup, hlookup, etc.) and Outlook.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Capacity to manage multiple projects at the same time.
• Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Capability to make decisions impacting the department’s credibility, operations, and services moderately.
• Skills to organize and prioritize work schedules effectively in both the short and long term.
• Proficient in communicating effectively with colleagues and management-level associates within both internal and external customer contexts.
