Remediation Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Effectively overseeing environmental liabilities

• Executing SGWS site assessment, remediation, and monitoring initiatives

• Foster a culture of Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) performance

• Manage a substantial portfolio of projects across several western Canadian provinces

• Formulate risk management strategies aimed at minimizing soil and groundwater liabilities

• Spearhead and execute nationwide HSSE initiatives and campaigns

• Cultivate and sustain relationships with internal stakeholders

• Administer financial approvals and expenditures with environmental consultants

⛳️ Requirements

• Degree in Engineering or Science, ideally in geology, hydrogeology, or an engineering discipline

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in environmental project management, site assessment, remediation, and risk and liability management

• Experience navigating multiple regulatory frameworks across western Canada

• Must possess legal authorization to work in Canada on a full-time basis

• A professional certification in your field would be advantageous

• Background in HSSE leadership, with an understanding of HSSE risks and mitigations (processes, procedures, behaviors)

• Established track record in contract management, enhancing contractor performance on complex projects

• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the capability to challenge and develop internal and external relationships
