This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Proactively oversee and evaluate vendor performance, ensuring compliance with company standards, and provide corrective measures or suggestions as needed.
• Administer regional inventory management, which includes tracking transportation status, assessing certification inspections, grading vehicles, estimating reconditioning costs, preparing for sales, and approving bids.
• Perform on-site evaluations of auction processes, inventory preparation, and overall sale effectiveness.
• Schedule regular status meetings with vendors, auction management, and pertinent staff, reviewing scorecards and other reports while coordinating follow-ups on performance issues.
• Negotiate arbitration claims when necessary, in consultation with senior management.
• Identify and implement market arbitrage opportunities.
• Review auction expenses and announcements for accuracy.
• Track and report travel-related expenses in line with company policies.
• A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent college experience is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant automotive or remarketing experience is required.
• Experience in vehicle valuation, reconditioning evaluation, and wholesale remarketing channels is essential.
• A solid understanding of macro and regional social/economic trends, seasonality, and key automotive factors affecting used vehicle pricing.
• Capability to work independently under time constraints and manage competing deadlines.
• Highly detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
• Strong and professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Adaptability in job roles and a willingness to embrace procedural changes.
• Proficient computer skills, with the ability to navigate multiple platforms.
• Familiarity with NAAA auction policies is highly desirable.
• Experience in frame assessment or writing condition reports is preferred.
