Release Manager, Publishing – 6 Month Project Hire

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Take charge of submissions (patches, content releases, store page updates) across various first-party platforms (PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, Epic Games Store, Nintendo).

• Provide guidance to teams regarding platform compliance requirements, emerging best practices, and new opportunities on platforms.

• Collaborate to create and maintain release schedules alongside the Executive Producer and development team.

• Act as the primary liaison between development teams and first-party partners.

• Coordinate with Localization, Marketing, and Development to ensure releases are timely and of high quality.

• Function as the main technical contact for platform partners.

• Organize feature approval processes with platform holders as necessary.

• Oversee age rating submissions with global rating boards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience delivering on all platforms as a Release Manager (Steam, EGS, Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo).

• Direct experience with first-party submission and certification processes.

• In-depth understanding of platform requirements: TRCs, XRs, lotcheck, and similar standards.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the capability to assert your position in challenging discussions.

• A proactive approach and a willingness to take ownership of results.

• Exceptional organizational skills combined with a solutions-oriented mindset.

• A genuine enthusiasm for games and a comprehensive understanding of the full development lifecycle.

• Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Asana, Miro, and Excel.

• Knowledge of pertinent regulations like CVAA, COPPA, and GDPR.

• Previous experience with live-service titles.
