Release Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Monitors service component capacity and takes necessary actions to address any shortfalls in accordance with established procedures.

• Utilizes various techniques to manage the demand on specific resources or services.

• Evaluates, analyzes, develops, documents, and implements changes based on change requests.

• Oversees secure configuration management, employing tools, techniques, and processes to identify, track, log, and sustain accurate, complete, and current information.

• Leads a team, delivering expert technical knowledge in the systems testing of platform-specific versions of software products across different platforms.

• Offers specialized guidance to support systems testing and quality assurance functions to enhance procedural efficiencies.

• Analyzes release components and provides input for scheduling.

• Coordinates builds and tests alongside testers and component specialists, managing tools and methods—whether manual or automated—and facilitating information exchange with configuration management wherever feasible.

• Maintains adherence to release processes and procedures.

• Defines integration builds, accepts software modules from developers, and generates software builds for deployment in the target environment.

• Configures the hardware environment, produces integration test specifications, and conducts tests, documenting any failures and performing fault diagnosis.

• Executes a stakeholder engagement and communications plan, addressing problems and issues while managing resolutions, corrective actions, lessons learned, and the collection and distribution of pertinent information.

• Gathers and utilizes feedback from customers and stakeholders to evaluate the effectiveness of stakeholder management.

• Aids in the development and enhancement of customer and stakeholder relationships.

• Performs additional reasonable duties as assigned.

• Proven experience using Microsoft Office applications (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

• Experience with tools for communicating progress to stakeholders.

• Familiarity with regulated environments (GxP, Financial, etc.) or relevant testing/security risk experience from another domain that can be transferred.

• Understanding of Agile methodologies (preferably Scrum), UML, Object-Oriented programming, Data Modeling, Process Modeling, and/or other development methodologies.

• Experience working in and knowledge of the life sciences sector.

• Solid professional experience in a similar role or position.
