This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada.

📋 Description

• Conduct commissioning and testing of protection and control systems for electric utility substations and plant facilities for clients.

• Revise design documents, which include Single Line, AC/DC Elementary, Wiring, Panel Arrangement, and Bill of Material/Material List drawings.

• Execute End-To-End testing procedures.

• Perform IED testing both manually and using automated test equipment such as Doble 6150, Omicron, and Manta.

• Assess risks related to the testing and commissioning of protection and control systems.

• Create test plans and conduct risk assessments.

• Evaluate scope and interpret drawings to establish functional guidelines and risk assessments.

• Oversee personnel and tasks within larger projects while providing technical and leadership support on clearly defined projects.

• Conduct weekly site safety inspections.

• Facilitate the application of HP with Project Lead approval.

• Adhere to Company and Customer policies and procedures.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university or an Associate/AET degree.

• A minimum of three (3) years of experience in relay testing and commissioning within substations.

• Proficiency in using a simple volt-ohm-meter and working with hand tools.

• Capability to read and interpret One Line, AC & DC Elementary, and Wiring diagrams.

• Strong computer skills, including computer networking and proficiency with Android/iPhone applications.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office software.

• Ability to map drive letters for server connections.

• Competence in obtaining, installing, and connecting handheld device applications to The Cloud or other platforms.

• Willingness to perform regular fieldwork in diverse environments and weather conditions.

• Ability to read company manuals, reports, workplace rules, and procedures.

• Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to speak confidently and correctly in English.

• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

• Proficient in effective communication in English, both written and verbal.
