Reimbursement Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Idaho.

📋 Description

• Accountable for the continuous oversight of claims activities to ensure accuracy and successful submissions.

• Tasked with guaranteeing that patient billing information is correctly configured within the pharmacy software.

• Engage, when necessary, in conferences and meetings related to reimbursement and billing matters.

• Addresses inquiries or complaints from employees, patients, or clients regarding reimbursement and/or billing processes.

• Collaborates with internal teams to review and resolve issues pertaining to claims.

• Maintains precise reference information concerning reimbursement and copayment assistance.

• Responsible for the accurate and comprehensive documentation of information, insurance details, and prescriptions/orders within patient profiles.

• Operates in compliance with all relevant federal and state laws while upholding the highest ethical standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or an equivalent GED.

• Some college education is preferred.

• Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) is preferred.

• A pharmacy technician license or pharmacy technician trainee license is highly preferred in states that mandate pharmacy technician licensure.

• Prior experience in pharmacy, health plan, or clinical insurance claims billing, benefit assessments, billing/claims documentation, or claims auditing is preferred.

• Participate in, comply with, and support the objectives of the compliance program.

• Demonstrated ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with fellow employees.
