This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee and direct global regulatory compliance initiatives for network security hardware products, encompassing wireless access points, routers, gateways, and associated networking devices.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive global certification strategy for RF, EMC, Safety, Environmental, and relevant Cybersecurity regulatory standards.
• Facilitate compliance planning and obtain approvals for new product introductions (NPI) while also supporting ongoing engineering efforts for existing products.
• Coordinate and manage certifications across key global markets such as FCC, ISED, CE/RED, UKCA, ACMA, and Wi-Fi Alliance.
• Assist with additional country approvals in regions including India, Japan, Korea, and China.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional global engineering teams to identify regulatory risks early in the design process and implement mitigation strategies.
• Evaluate and authorize regulatory test plans, test reports, declarations, and certification documentation.
• Oversee relationships with external compliance laboratories, consultants, certification authorities, and regulatory vendors.
• Prepare and manage budgets for compliance projects, including purchase orders, vendor payments, and certification timelines.
• Stay informed of evolving global regulatory requirements and ensure ongoing compliance for products in the market.
• Act as the primary technical expert, both internally and externally, on regulatory compliance issues.
• Assist with factory audits, agency inquiries, customer compliance requests, and product documentation tasks.
• Work in conjunction with cybersecurity and product security teams regarding regulatory requirements that affect RF, EMC, and safety certifications.
• A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• A minimum of 8 years of practical experience in hardware regulatory compliance within the wireless/networking sector.
• Profound knowledge of IEEE 802.11 wireless technologies, including 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be (Wi-Fi 7).
• In-depth understanding of global RF certification standards and approval processes.
• Demonstrated experience in managing certifications for FCC, ISED, CE/RED, UKCA, ACMA, and Wi-Fi Alliance.
• Strong comprehension of Product Safety standards (UL/IEC), EMC compliance, RF exposure/SAR requirements, and environmental regulations such as RoHS, REACH, PFAS, and California Proposition 65.
• Experience collaborating with external testing laboratories and certification bodies like UL, TÜV, SGS, Intertek, or similar entities.
• Excellent project management and vendor management capabilities.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills in English.
