This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct evaluations and clinical summaries for disability claims.
• Summarize pertinent medical documentation for the review period.
• Include authors of documents, dates, and titles or types in summaries.
• Identify the claimant's impairing diagnosis along with any relevant comorbid conditions.
• Summarize relevant diagnostic tests, lab results, examination findings, and other clinical details.
• Provide conclusions that address specific restrictions and limitations related to the condition.
• State clear, medically-supported durations for restrictions and limitations.
• Offer a clinically-based rationale that supports the conclusions drawn.
• Respond to all referral inquiries.
• Engage in calls with treating providers when required by client specifications.
• Produce professional, concise reports using medical terminology that is easily understood by laypersons.
• Complete reports within an expected turnaround time of 2 days.
• Participate in initial training that covers the Dane Street portal, report formatting, sample reports, and client-specific training documents.
• Current Registered Nurse license.
• Previous experience in commercial disability insurance, including disability insurance carriers or TPAs (e.g., UNUM, Sedgwick, Mutual of Omaha).
• Varied clinical background.
• Capability to complete clinical summaries and reports within a 2-day turnaround time.
• Proficiency in writing professionally and concisely.
• Ability to avoid clinical and/or claim acronyms and explain medical terminology in layman's terms.
• Skill in producing reports that are free of grammatical and spelling errors.
