Registered Nurse Education Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.

📋 Description

• Develop, design, and implement the educational plan for the FirstChoice Iowa Regional program.

• Collaborate with site-specific resources to assist in the creation of FirstChoice educational programs.

• Facilitate staff competency in relationship-based care by utilizing adult learning methodologies.

• Assess, plan, develop, implement, coordinate, and evaluate skill acquisition and the learning process for system-wide employees.

• Oversee orientation, preceptor development and programming, continuing education, staff development, mandatory education, and training on new products and processes.

• Foster an environment that promotes student learning and achieves desired cognitive, affective, and psychomotor outcomes.

• Support learner development and socialization.

• Employ assessment and evaluation strategies to measure and evaluate student learning.

• Take part in course/program design and evaluate outcomes.

• Act as a change agent and leader.

• Strive for continuous quality improvement in the Nurse Educator role.

• Engage in scholarship and operate effectively within the educational environment.

• Build rapport and maintain cooperative relationships; approach conflicts constructively; identify issues, propose solutions, and participate in their resolution.

• Uphold confidentiality regarding information related to patients, physicians, employees, and visitors.

• Comply with HIPAA policies and procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing.

• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a Nursing department with progressive responsibility and a focus on education, practice, and quality.

• At least one (1) year in a formal Nursing Educator position.

• Valid Registered Nursing License.

• In-depth knowledge of nursing practice and education.

• Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development through journals, affiliations at local, regional, and national levels, continuing education programs, seminars, and workshops.

• Experience in designing and developing various training types and curricula.

• Background in training trainers to deliver educational content.
