This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
β’ Evaluate AI-generated clinical scenarios related to nursing and medication safety workflows.
β’ Analyze medication-related decisions in context with the patient's full medication history and administration timeline.
β’ Review active medication lists prior to assessing administration decisions.
β’ Examine drug interactions and medication safety issues using Lexidrug or Lexicomp.
β’ Identify instances when medication holds and escalations to pharmacy or prescribing clinicians are necessary.
β’ Assess medication reconciliation throughout admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
β’ Detect discrepancies between home medications, medications brought from home, and current orders.
β’ Review the timing, sequencing, and history of medication administration.
β’ Analyze patterns of adverse reactions and determine the need for clinical escalation.
β’ Differentiate between nursing-scope issues and those requiring pharmacy or prescriber intervention.
β’ Confirm clinician notification and documentation of any escalation.
β’ Assess the accuracy, completeness, and clinical justification of nursing actions.
β’ Identify incomplete workflows and provide written evaluations detailing errors, omissions, and subsequent steps.
β’ Minimum of 2 years of professional nursing experience.
β’ Current or recent practical use of Lexidrug or Lexicomp, typically on a weekly basis or more.
β’ An RN license in good standing is required.
β’ Significant experience with medication administration and medication safety workflows.
β’ Proficient knowledge of drug interactions, medication reconciliation, and monitoring adverse reactions.
β’ Experience in determining when medication-related issues necessitate escalation.
β’ Ability to review comprehensive clinical records and medication histories.
β’ Excellent professional judgment, attention to detail, and written communication skills.
β’ Inpatient or acute-care nursing experience is strongly preferred.
β’ Experience with Trissel's IV Compatibility is advantageous.
β’ Knowledge of Y-site and syringe compatibility, as well as multi-infusion line management, is beneficial.
β’ Experience in administering high-alert medications is a plus.
β’ Familiarity with pediatric or weight-based medication administration is a plus.
β’ Experience with geriatric medication precautions and medications relevant to the Beers Criteria is advantageous.
β’ Background in ICU, oncology, pediatrics, geriatrics, or another specialty setting is a plus.
β’ Experience providing medication-related discharge education is beneficial.
β’ Familiarity with Drug I.D. during medication reconciliation is a plus.
β’ Previous experience in data annotation, structured review, or AI evaluation is an added advantage.
β’ Flexible remote consulting work with customizable scheduling.
β’ Competitive hourly pay ranging from $70 to $105 based on expertise and project scope.
