Registered Dietitian – RD/RDN

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Perform thorough nutrition evaluations through virtual consultations.

• Offer Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) for obesity and associated chronic conditions; create personalized nutrition care plans.

• Provide nutrition education and counseling utilizing behavior-change strategies.

• Foster patient engagement through effective communication; escalate clinical issues when necessary.

• Work collaboratively with physicians, nurse practitioners, health coaches, and care coordinators; engage in care planning and case reviews as required.

• Record encounters, assessments, and care plans in the electronic health record (EHR); proficiently use telehealth and patient engagement tools.

• Uphold licensure standards, ensure HIPAA compliance, and complete necessary training and professional development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Current RD/RDN credential in good standing.

• Valid LD/LDN or CD/CDN license in the applicable state(s).

• Preference for candidates from TX, CT, OH, VA, NC, NJ, NH.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related discipline.

• Required clinical or ambulatory experience in providing nutrition counseling or MNT.

• Preferred experience in obesity, weight management, chronic conditions, and telehealth.

• Excellent patient-centered counseling and documentation abilities; adept in interdisciplinary settings.

• Familiarity with EHR systems and telehealth platforms; must have reliable internet and a private, HIPAA-compliant workspace.
