Registered Dietitian, RD/RDN

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.

📋 Description

• Perform thorough nutrition evaluations through virtual appointments.

• Offer Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) for obesity and associated chronic conditions; create tailored nutrition care plans.

• Provide nutrition education and counseling utilizing behavior-change methodologies.

• Enhance patient engagement through effective communication; escalate clinical issues when necessary.

• Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, health coaches, and care coordinators; engage in care planning and case reviews as required.

• Record interactions, evaluations, and care plans in the Electronic Health Record (EHR); proficiently use telehealth and patient engagement tools.

• Adhere to licensure standards, maintain HIPAA compliance, and pursue necessary training and professional development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential in good standing.

• Current Licensed Dietitian (LD) or Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN) or Certified Dietitian (CD) or Certified Dietitian Nutritionist (CDN) license in states of practice.

• Preference for candidates in TX, CT, OH, VA, NC, NJ, NH.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field.

• Required clinical or ambulatory experience providing nutrition counseling or MNT.

• Preferred experience in obesity, weight management, chronic conditions, and telehealth.

• Excellent patient-centered counseling and documentation abilities; adept in interdisciplinary teams.

• Proficient with EHRs and telehealth platforms; must have reliable internet and a private, HIPAA-compliant workspace.
