
Registered Dietitian – Eating Disorders

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Offer continuous nutritional guidance to patients and their families to foster a positive relationship with food by altering maladaptive eating habits.
• Create and execute personalized treatment strategies through regular telehealth consultations.
• Perform initial nutritional evaluations, design meal plans, and determine appropriate weight targets.
• Facilitate exposure to challenging or feared foods.
• Relay meal plans and nutritional concerns to members of the treatment team, educating them on strategies for resolution.
• Reflect treatment team directives while engaging with families.
• Support discharge planning processes.
• Revise treatment plans weekly to incorporate patient progress, goals, assignments, and concerns.
• Reassess nutritional requirements and relay suggestions to the treatment team and families.
• Provide evidence-based nutrition education that addresses irrational beliefs and thoughts regarding food, nutrition, weight, and body image.
• Build therapeutic relationships with families and work collaboratively towards treatment objectives.
• Diligently document care within Equip’s electronic medical record system.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
• A minimum of a bachelor's degree or relevant coursework accredited or approved by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND).
• A Licensed RDN is mandatory.
• Prior experience with eating disorders is preferred.
• Familiarity with or experience in family-based treatment approaches for eating disorders is preferred but not essential.
• Capability to manage a caseload of up to 80 patients.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with diverse groups.
• Experience collaborating within interdisciplinary teams.
• Highly organized and results-oriented.
• Ability to balance clinical priorities with business needs.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that is subject to rapid changes and innovations.
• Availability to provide 30 hours per week of direct patient care.
• Commitment to a minimum of 16 hours of direct patient care after 2 pm in the working time zone.
• Willingness to work until 8 pm on two evenings each week.
• Ability to attend mandatory meetings.
• Providers must hold the necessary licenses or registrations as required in each state where they provide care.
