This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oklahoma, +1 more state.
• Oversee the regional profit and loss, linking financial results to operational efficiency.
• Gather, assess, and present market data.
• Formulate strategies to enhance membership, medical costs, administrative efficiency, and margin results.
• Offer leadership and guidance to the regional Finance team.
• Participate in the Regional Leadership team.
• Collaborate with Provider Network, Health Services, and Network Performance leaders on product, network, quality, and operational strategy and execution.
• Lead the annual Medicare Advantage/CMS product bidding process.
• Develop and manage fiscal and operational oversight of the regional annual budget.
• Direct financial planning, forecasting, risk management, operational metrics, and reporting.
• Facilitate strategic conversations with physician and hospital leaders.
• Guide finance associates in analyzing financial drivers for value-based providers.
• Interact with regional, divisional, and corporate leaders.
• Spearhead regional market-level strategy development alongside operational leaders.
• Meet margin and administrative budget objectives.
• Create and enforce compliant policies and procedures.
• Establish management and performance controls through data tracking, measurement, and analysis.
• Identify issues, mitigate losses, control costs, and direct process enhancements.
• Maintain oversight of the administrative budget.
• Provide strategic and financial analysis for provider contracting, performance, health services, and trend detection.
• Foster internal and external business relationships.
• Familiarity with Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and Part D coverage.
• Experience with and/or in-depth knowledge of the annual CMS bid process.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• Over 8 years of finance experience in the health solutions sector.
• Ideally, 3+ years as a CFO or COO with finance expertise.
• Proven leadership abilities.
• Experience in building a high-performing team to support a growth-oriented market.
• Understanding of CMS bid mechanics and associated tools.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
• Capability to collaborate with all organizational levels.
• Management and leadership experience.
• Willingness to travel at least 20% within the region.
• Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Texas, Arkansas, or Oklahoma, with a preference for Texas.
• Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.
• Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of South Central Region market dynamics and Value-Based Care is preferred.
• Experience with physician groups, provider contracting, market operations, Medicare Risk Adjustment, and Stars/Quality functions is preferred.
