This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.
• Lead the regional sales team by attracting, nurturing, and retaining top talent.
• Provide strategic guidance and performance coaching to ensure team excellence.
• Support team development and guarantee effective onboarding of new members.
• Drive the regional execution of sales strategies to achieve or surpass sales goals.
• Create targeted strategies for the psychiatric and neurological markets.
• Identify regional opportunities and eliminate obstacles to team success.
• Promote innovative sales techniques and best practices.
• Analyze sales data and market trends to guide strategic decisions.
• Hold the team accountable for implementing sales strategies and achieving objectives.
• Regularly spend time in the field with each account specialist to observe and coach performance.
• Provide ongoing performance feedback and development opportunities.
• Effectively manage regional budgets and expenses.
• Ensure adherence to Neurocrine policies, FDA regulations, and industry standards.
• Maintain transparent communication between field teams and headquarters.
• Build and sustain relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals.
• BS/BA degree AND 8+ years of sales experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry, including 3+ years of first-line sales management experience typically gained through progressively responsible sales roles.
• Proven track record of successful building OR a Master's degree preferred AND 6+ years of experience as indicated above.
• OR a PhD AND 4+ years of experience as mentioned above.
• Understands the broader organizational impact across various departments/divisions.
• Strong sales acumen and business insight.
• Documented sales performance (meeting/exceeding quotas, rankings, recognition awards).
• Experience in successful launches within complex, competitive environments.
• Capable of managing change effectively and acting without complete information.
• Maintains composure under pressure.
• Strong understanding of the healthcare regulatory landscape.
• Entrepreneurial mindset suitable for startup settings.
• Exceptional analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
