This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Under supervision, identifies, initiates, develops, and maintains profitable business sources for HCC Life within the designated marketing region.
• Responsible for generating new business through external sales and marketing directed at Third Party Administrators (TPAs) and Brokers within the assigned territory.
• Create additional business opportunities by writing correspondence and participating in trade shows.
• Conduct sales calls to nurture and sustain long-term relationships with clients.
• Oversee and enhance existing business portfolios.
• Establish a strong rapport with TPA/Broker through onsite visits and promptly addressing client concerns.
• Develop and sustain a database of current and potential producers.
• Negotiate fees with clients to secure both new and renewal business.
• Track competitor pricing and industry trends to discern marketplace characteristics.
• Collect information from utilization review and managed care organizations to formulate stop-loss pricing.
• Monitor metrics including producer quote ratio, close ratio, renewal persistency, and loss ratio.
• Adjust marketing strategies as necessary.
• Act as a liaison between the Claims department and new TPA producers throughout the approval process.
• Develop and execute specific marketing strategies and materials.
• Ensure effective working relationships with clients and other company departments by serving as the primary point of contact.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant and progressive experience in marketing or sales.
• At least 4 years of education or experience in Business Administration, or a related field.
• Possess and effectively apply knowledge of relevant principles, practices, and procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy.
• Advanced organizational and analytical abilities; proven capacity to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
• Informed about industry changes, legal updates, and technical advancements related to the company's business to proactively adapt to the evolving business landscape.
• Intermediate proficiency and experience with the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word).
