This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• The Regional Sales Representative (RSR) serves as a consultative sales professional, engaging with end users and all levels of the Distributor network to enhance profitable business with targeted accounts.
• Accountable for total sales within assigned product segments and SKUs across a specified geographic area.
• Expected to meet or surpass the sales objectives for the designated territory during the sales period.
• Formulate a distribution partner strategy for both regional and branch locations within the assigned area.
• Deliver appropriate training, participate in ride-alongs, conduct business reviews, exhibit at open houses, and collaborate with Marketing to develop co-op marketing initiatives.
• Recognize product conversion opportunities, facilitate product trials, and negotiate commercial terms as required.
• Reporting – Share all necessary information, from financial outcomes to strategic objectives, within the assigned territory as required.
• Utilize the system for all documentation needs within the region.
• Coordinate and communicate on open orders, shipping, accounts receivable, etc., to ensure comprehensive account management at all times.
• Attend business meetings, trade shows, or other necessary industry/business events as required.
• Support the Operations team to guarantee adequate coverage of production operations.
• Adhere to the 80/20 principle in prioritizing daily tasks and actively participate as a member of the Technical Operations Staff.
• Travel is necessary (75% or more).
• A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline is preferred.
• At least five (5) years of sales experience within an industrial manufacturing context.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook.
• Strong written, verbal, and collaborative communication abilities.
• Experience in delivering effective and professional sales/product training in-person or virtually (Webinar) to groups and across various media platforms.
• Proven capability in formulating and executing successful sales strategies.
• Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets/quotas along with the ability to identify and close sales with both new and existing clients.
• Familiarity with marketing principles and experience in gathering market intelligence and conducting competitive analyses.
• Attendance at business classes/seminars, including organization and time management, Business Administration, and various sales training is advantageous.
• Well-developed emotional intelligence, able to connect effectively with individuals at all levels, including operators, executives, suppliers, and customers.
• A commitment to achieving goals and business objectives, demonstrating a sense of urgency to produce results.
• An entrepreneurial mindset with the initiative to focus on key initiatives and opportunities for improvement and growth.
• Ability to adapt positively to changes in the work environment and manage frequent changes, delays, or unforeseen events.
• Excellent communication skills across all levels of the organization and with clients.
• Capacity to work collaboratively with others in a team-oriented environment.

• Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills with experience engaging with all levels of the organization and external resources.
• Effective time management and prioritization abilities.
• Willingness to travel 75% or more for business requirements, including overnight stays.
• A self-starter who is highly motivated, follows directions efficiently, and can work with minimal supervision.
