This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee a team of Regional Accounts Managers within a specified region.
• Advocate for PreventionGenetics’ products and services to physicians and healthcare providers.
• Recruit, train, mentor, and lead the sales team while managing their performance.
• Actively promote PreventionGenetics’ offerings.
• Keep abreast of professional, genetic, and technical knowledge regarding products, policies, and procedures.
• Train and guide sales team members, including newly hired representatives.
• Accompany direct reports to provide training and coaching through observation.
• Manage sales targets for the area and report progress to upper management.
• Create communication and operational mechanisms to facilitate information sharing and teamwork.
• Ensure compliance of the sales force with quality, regulatory, and company policies.
• Cultivate relationships with key thought leaders and decision-makers.
• Gather and relay customer insights, market trends, and competitive intelligence.
• Present relevant technology and clinical benefits to customers.
• Ensure effective utilization of sales processes along with approved marketing and promotional materials.
• Utilize company resources to establish competitive differentiation and deliver solutions to customers.
• Manage open territories and recruit personnel when vacancies arise.
• Promote a high-performance culture, leading with integrity, accountability, and courage.
• Delegate tasks, evaluate performance, and offer feedback and training opportunities.
• Forecast and meet quarterly and annual sales objectives.
• Adhere to the company’s mission and values while supporting the Quality Management System.
• Exhibit behaviors that promote inclusion.
• Maintain regular attendance and adhere to the designated work schedule.
• Be available to work nights and/or weekends as necessary.
• Utilize mobile devices, tablets, or computers and engage in typing for approximately 60% of a typical workday.
• Travel approximately 60% of the time, which may include overnight and weekend trips.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, or a related field as outlined in the essential duties.
• 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing sales position within the medical, healthcare, or technical sector.
• At least 1 year of experience in a sales leadership capacity.
• Valid driver’s license without any suspension, revocation, surrender, or invalid status.
• No more than two moving violations, incidents, or accidents in the past 36 months.
• No alcohol or drug-related driving incidents in the last 36 months.
• No unfavorable liability outcomes from the Motor Vehicle Report check.
• Ability to satisfy healthcare facility access requirements, which may include vaccination or mask mandates.
• Capability to perform essential responsibilities with or without accommodation.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Candidates should reside within one hour of a major airport.
• Preferred: Master’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Preferred: Experience in selling or leading a sales team in genetics, particularly in rare disease and WES/WGS testing.
