This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Drive revenue expansion within a Western Michigan territory that includes machine builders/dealers, OEMs, system integrators, distributors, and end-users.
• Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities.
• Develop and progress a territory pipeline that aligns with set goals.
• Communicate SCHUNK’s value proposition through product demonstrations and technical presentations.
• Market toolholding, workholding, gripping systems, and automation solutions based on quantifiable ROI.
• Obtain SCHUNK specifications for new machine constructions with builders, dealers, and integrators.
• Recruit, onboard, empower, and manage distribution and integration partners.
• Track opportunities, visit reports, quotes, and follow-ups within SAP C4C.
• Utilize sales reports to assess progress and aid in annual and strategic planning.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Inside Sales, Marketing, and leadership.
• Create polished proposals and sales materials focused on value.
• Execute plant visits, product demonstrations, trade shows, cold outreach, networking, joint sales calls, and partner training.
• Oversee intricate sales cycles, partner performance, channel conflicts, and territory/account strategies.
• Assist with quoting and marketing initiatives.
• Maintain clear next steps, ownership, and timelines following interactions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent technical sales experience.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing, machining, or industrial automation sales.
• Demonstrated success in new business development.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Proficient in CRM systems, particularly SAP C4C, and virtual tools.
• Capability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining disciplined territory coverage.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the designated territory, up to 50%.
• Technical knowledge in toolholding, workholding, gripping systems, and automation.
• Ability to perform value-based selling and clearly articulate ROI.
• Experience working with OEMs, machine builders/dealers, system integrators, distributors, and end-users.
