
Regional Sales Manager – Federal

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Consistently achieve and surpass assigned sales targets by acquiring new Federal accounts and increasing revenue within existing government customer installations.
• Actively identify prospects for ExtraHop products through targeted cold outreach, diligent follow-up on leads, and in-person meetings with Federal decision-makers.
• Collaborate with senior executives in government agencies to comprehensively understand their critical business needs, decision-making processes, and funding mechanisms.
• Present engaging presentations and demonstrations of ExtraHop products customized to meet the specific challenges and requirements of Federal clients.
• Offer insightful customer and competitor feedback, along with relevant field intelligence, to guide product development and sales strategies for the Federal market.
• Develop and rigorously execute strategic sales account plans for all Federal clients, proactively identifying opportunities for business growth within the assigned government customer base.
• Ensure smooth collaboration between Federal resellers, field sales engineers, and management throughout the sales process, encompassing lead generation, opportunity registration, accurate revenue forecasting, and adherence to established revenue targets.
• Work strategically with Federal resellers and integrators to nurture and grow business within your designated territory.
• Accurately prepare and maintain a comprehensive sales forecast for your Federal territory.
• Actively network within Federal customer organizations and associated government industry groups.
• Four-year degree or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g., information technology, computer science, business, or engineering).
• At least five years of experience in technology sales, with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets, particularly in the Federal government market.
• Minimum of three years of dedicated experience in security sales, with a robust understanding of Federal security requirements.
• Proven technical expertise and the capability to convey ExtraHop's value proposition in a unique and persuasive manner to Federal audiences.
• Outstanding communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills necessary for navigating the Federal procurement landscape.
• Documented history of sales success in network/application management or related IT infrastructure solutions, focusing on government clients.
• Established ability to secure meetings and finalize complex deals with senior-level Federal executives.
• Solid understanding of enterprise networking technologies, including switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, and WAN optimization technologies, as utilized in Federal settings, is a significant plus.
• Strong independent work ethic and proven experience in effectively managing a fast-paced, high-stress environment typical of government sales cycles.
• Existing senior-level relationships across a variety of Federal enterprise accounts within your assigned territory.
• Background in software/hardware sales and distribution with major software, hardware, and/or networking companies serving the Federal sector.
• Willingness to travel as necessary to support Federal customer engagements and events.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and cross-functional stakeholders to meet Federal sales goals.
• Proven capacity to excel in fast-paced, high-stress environments.
