• Meeting sales objectives for CADDY and GARNDER BENDER’s Commercial Electrical division by nurturing existing accounts and effectively acquiring new business, mainly through a comprehensive product range and serving as a project solution provider.
• Formulating a multi-year sales strategy and operational plan to meet sales goals by identifying and cultivating new customers, end users, key projects, and channel partners within the designated territory.
• Leading, mentoring, and developing a high-achieving third-party agent sales team across various regions and channels, ensuring alignment with territory strategy, pricing, joint visits, and both personal and professional development.
• Establishing and nurturing robust relationships at all levels with key clients, distribution partners, and industry collaborators.
• Offering product expertise through training sessions and technical presentations, showcasing our value proposition to key contractors, distributors, and engineers, while providing on-site assistance.
• Assisting agent opportunities and proposals (quotes) for CADDY and GARNDER BENDER, which include, but are not limited to, seismic protection and prefabrication.
• Evaluating sales data to identify trends and potential areas for improvement.
• Collaborating with Marketing, Product Management, Finance, Pricing, and Operations to ensure sales initiatives are aligned with the broader objectives of nVent.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in outside sales.
• Ideally, over 5 years of experience in outside sales and/or territory sales management within the commercial or industrial sectors, specifically dealing with electrical products.
• Experience in leading third-party sales agencies is advantageous.
• Capability to work remotely from a home office in the sales region and travel approximately 60% of the time throughout the sales territory of WA, OR, MT, Northern ID, Western WY, and AK, with expected overnight trips.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage confidently with both technical and non-technical clients, complemented by strong collaboration, critical thinking, and execution abilities.
• Strong preference for candidates with technical sales and value-based selling expertise.
• Knowledge of commercial and electrical contractor sales.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and sales analytics tools.
• Physically capable of navigating construction sites and possess a valid driver’s license.
