This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +6 more states.
• Building and nurturing relationships with both new and existing accounts across all organizational levels, including engineering, operations, purchasing, and management.
• Formulating sales strategies, identifying sales opportunities, and delivering value-oriented solutions through application assessments with End User Customers.
• Effectively employing all available sales and marketing resources for presentations, sales calls, cold outreach, and prospecting efforts.
• Developing a streamlined territory schedule to facilitate regular client interactions and productive prospecting.
• Acting as an intermediary between the customer and engineering teams to create innovative project solutions with compelling value propositions.
• Ensuring the precise and timely gathering of all project information necessary for applications engineering evaluation and project quotations.
• Collaborating with project management to ensure smooth transitions of orders between sales and operations.
• Upholding the highest standards of ethics and integrity in all interactions.
• Meeting or surpassing sales forecasts and quotas consistently.
• Recording all Opportunities, Companies, Contacts, and customer Interactions in our Sales Force Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
• At least 2 years of demonstrated experience in capital equipment and/or packaging sales.
• Direct sales experience with leading domestic Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) companies.
• A four-year degree in Sales, Engineering, or Business is highly preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude to comprehend packaging automation and the company’s product offerings.
• Strong technical sales capabilities and refined presentation skills.
• Self-motivated individual with proven closing abilities.
• Effective and proactive prospecting skills.
• Must possess superior business management, interpersonal, and facilitation abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and experience in industrial line layout is advantageous.
• Competent in using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
• Exceptional listening and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proven ability to work remotely.
• Willingness to travel 60-70% within the territory, with overnight travel anticipated.
