This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Drive sales and enhance profitability within your designated territory.
• Cultivate new business opportunities while reinforcing relationships with current clients.
• Oversee key accounts among independent merchants, national merchant groups, and distributors.
• Advocate for the complete range of Talon products and facilitate successful launches of new items.
• Create demand among contractors, installers, developers, and specification influencers, channeling business through merchant partnerships.
• Identify and nurture specification opportunities from initial inquiry to project completion.
• Conduct product demonstrations, provide customer training, and deliver commercial presentations.
• Effectively plan and manage your territory, ensuring a robust sales pipeline and precise forecasting.
• Utilize our CRM system to oversee customer interactions and opportunities.
• Collaborate closely with our Internal Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, and Operations teams to provide an exceptional customer experience.
• Represent Talon at customer events, trade exhibitions, and shows.
• A seasoned field sales or business development professional.
• Proven success in selling to builders' merchants, plumbing merchants, distributors, or within the construction supply chain.
• Commercially astute with strong negotiation and relationship-building capabilities.
• Confident in managing a territory and working autonomously.
• An outstanding communicator and presenter.
• Well-organized with strong planning and time management abilities.
• Proficient in using CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
• Holder of a full UK driving licence, willing to travel extensively within the region, including occasional overnight stays.
• Experience in the plumbing or building products sector is preferred.
• Familiarity with national merchant groups and buying groups is advantageous.
• Experience in specification selling and project tracking is favorable.
• Understanding of the UK merchant distribution network is beneficial.
