Regional Sales Manager

📋 Description

• Engage with current prospects and clients to cultivate strong, lasting relationships, enabling a thorough understanding of their needs and ensuring that the company's solutions are effectively aligned with those needs.

• Identify, generate, and reach out to new leads using various sources and industry publications.

• Formulate a strategic approach to account penetration aimed at expanding the customer base within the designated territory.

• Meet or exceed targets related to sales volume, revenue, and gross margin, as well as objectives for territory management, including market share and customer base development.

• Oversee the complete sales cycle of our photovoltaic products and facilitate the integration of these products into small utility, commercial, industrial, and residential sectors by understanding technical and financial project requirements and providing tailored project support packages when necessary.

• Regularly establish and communicate sales forecasts, opportunities, and conduct prospect reviews.

• Gather and disseminate competitive intelligence, along with market and territory insights from the field to aid in marketing strategies and to inform product, sales, and business development initiatives.

• Take part in trade shows and conferences to represent the company, entertain clients and prospects, and secure new sales opportunities.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of B2B sales experience, with at least 3 years in the photovoltaic sector.

• A robust existing network of renewable energy Project Developers and EPCs.

• Must reside within one hour of a major airport and currently be located in the Eastern USA.

• An engineering background or technical sales expertise is preferred.

• Ability to quickly assimilate detailed knowledge about the broader solar energy industry and trends, becoming a subject matter expert in state-level markets.

• Proven track record of sourcing and securing new prospects.

• Experience in value selling and crafting an effective account penetration strategy/plan is essential.

• Capability to identify decision-makers in complex deals.

• Strong presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with others.

• High proficiency in MS Office applications and CRM software.

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and proactively without supervision.

• A commendable work ethic, a positive attitude, and a competitive, driven nature are essential.
