
Regional Sales Director – North to Midwest

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +7 more states.
• Formulate and implement comprehensive regional sales strategies that are in alignment with the company's vision.
• Propel revenue growth by uncovering new opportunities and enhancing existing sales methodologies to seize market share.
• Supervise a team of 12 sales professionals, offering coaching and guidance to ensure that revenue growth and profitability objectives are met.
• Evaluate and attract top talent with an emphasis on ongoing professional development and recruitment.
• Execute and reinforce structured sales processes and tools to identify and qualify prospects, set new customer acquisition goals, and revise OSR territories and account assignments.
• Utilize Power BI and other analytical tools to monitor and report on KPI performance, recognizing trends in account activity, including wins/losses and growth metrics.
• Apply these insights to adjust strategies and enhance sales efforts.
• Spearhead customer and account development through organized planning meetings and thorough business reviews.
• Build and maintain relationships with key accounts, ensuring customer requirements are met with customized solutions that foster long-term partnerships.
• Offer leadership, coaching, and professional growth to Outside Sales Representatives (OSRs).
• Concentrate on enhancing their skills, nurturing a culture of continuous improvement, and equipping them to thrive in a competitive environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to guarantee smooth organizational communication and alignment.
• Promote a unified approach to customer engagement and problem-solving, maximizing value for both customers and the company.
• Develop sales capabilities to ensure we capture the most significant opportunities for growth.
• Effectively engage with senior leadership and ownership partners as necessary to present plans and progress.
• A Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is required.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in industrial distribution, with a focus on sales, sales leadership, and executing strategic plans.
• A strong background demonstrating a customer-focused and commercial mindset.
• Proven commercial and selling abilities.
• Experience in leading, developing, and mentoring sales professionals; a successful track record of attracting exceptional talent.
• Capability to engage at senior and board levels, effectively interacting across all organizational tiers.
• Extensive experience with data analytics tools for tracking performance metrics, forecasting, and making data-driven decisions to refine sales strategies.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with other business and functional leaders including Finance, Human Resources, Supply Chain, Pricing, etc.
