This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa, +2 more states.
• Direct a regional field sales and clinical organization to fulfill sales and market penetration objectives for Abbott’s MCS Division
• Supervise field sales and sales support personnel
• Create and execute annual sales strategies to achieve revenue targets
• Formulate regional strategic plans addressing revenue, profitability, and market penetration objectives
• Enhance regional performance through effective sales and service strategies and methods
• Develop initiatives to increase patient referrals and address obstacles to Acute therapy adoption
• Mentor and provide constructive feedback to field sales and support teams through on-site visits, observations, and assessments
• Oversee regional training initiatives and market development strategies
• Spearhead talent acquisition, development, employment, and retention initiatives
• Cultivate and sustain relationships with customers, KOLs, and industry influencers
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of heart failure technology and the competitive landscape
• Manage and oversee regional P&L in alignment with finance
• Build and nurture relationships with Abbott and competing customers
• Ensure compliance with quality policies and systems within the department
• Reach out to, visit, and engage clients and prospective clients regarding company offerings
• Address inquiries and concerns from clients
• Analyze new and existing products while monitoring competitors’ sales, pricing, and offerings
• Attend trade exhibitions and conferences as required
• Stay updated on advancements in areas of expertise
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Minimum of 3 years of proven sales leadership experience, preferably in the medical device sector
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
• Proficient in personal computer applications, including MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Capable of operating in a complex and geographically diverse business setting
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and also perform as an individual contributor in a dynamic environment
• Skillful in leveraging and/or engaging others to achieve project goals
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities across various organizational levels
• Experience in direct quota achievement and performance metrics
• Flexible schedule for case coverage and client meetings during evenings and weekends
• Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time
• Capable of lifting up to 25 pounds, with occasional instances exceeding that
• Clear vision and good depth perception
• Ability to think strategically and execute tactically
• Proven skills in market development
• Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate successfully with cross-functional partners and clients
• Capacity to inspire and maintain high performance within a clinical sales and therapy development organization
• Established track record of exceptional sales performance over a significant period
• Preferred: Over 6 years of experience in medical device sales
• Preferred: MBA and/or experience in multi-product/therapy sales management
• Preferred: Experience in Heart Failure field therapy areas
