• Lead the long-term development of Freestyle Libre products by guiding a high-performing, customer-focused, agile sales team.
• Create a solid talent pipeline of top performers who contribute to business growth and may evolve into future leaders within Abbott.
• Enhance sales and profitability in the region; consistently achieve financial and business strategies that align with organizational goals; demonstrate the capacity to outmaneuver competitors and accelerate business growth beyond market rates.
• Utilize business analytics, customer insights, and competitive data to perform ongoing assessments of growth opportunities in the region and devise an omnichannel engagement strategy that positions Abbott as the preferred brand.
• Establish strategic partnerships with senior healthcare stakeholders across various settings, channels, and platforms to broaden Abbott's influence in the region, including leveraging these connections to engage with and build relationships with new stakeholders.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to regional stakeholders by collaborating to develop innovative solutions/programs that enhance their understanding and utilization of the FSL ecosystem to create value as they perceive it.
• Innovate the application of omnichannel tools and platforms to deliver diverse types of value to various customers, including healthcare professionals, accounts, and policy decision-makers.
• Lead intricate negotiations and influence outcomes with a range of regional stakeholders/decision-makers, securing buy-in for mutually beneficial solutions that provide long-term value to customers and ADC.
• Collaborate with leadership on key customer opportunities and establish salesforce priorities, balancing short-term and long-term benefits in relation to the strategic plan.
• Oversee the regional P&L, integrating financial considerations into strategy and ensuring execution aligns with the budget.
• Identify and actively manage financial risks to maintain regional financial stability.
• Build a high-performing sales team by balancing individual and team strengths and development needs to capitalize on all available opportunity channels, conducting regular reviews with direct reports.
• Utilize Marketing and Customer analytics, CRM data, and other relevant metrics to monitor and hold the team accountable for regional performance against KPIs.
• Develop managers into coaches and leaders to foster continuous team development and drive results.
• Collaborate across functions to create and automate reliable, advanced, and predictive analytics to guide customer/stakeholder strategies and account management.
• Support and manage the team through periods of change.
• Promote the sharing of regional best practices to improve strategic and customer outcomes.
• Exemplify ethical, customer-centric behavior by demonstrating integrity and transparency.
• Operate in accordance with compliance and regulatory expectations.
• Bachelor's degree from a four-year university.
• MBA is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience in managing a sales team; preferably with experience in managing managers and large teams, demonstrating coaching, leadership, and planning capabilities.
• Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive sales management or related industry experience, including diverse cross-functional experience (e.g., Key Account Management, Marketing, Sales Operations, Strategy, etc.); showcasing broad business acumen and understanding of operational processes.
• Exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to translate insights into actionable strategies and compelling narratives that address audience needs.
• Confident in presenting to all audience levels and adept at selling ideas, particularly in challenging circumstances.
• Demonstrated leadership ability to anticipate changes and trends that impact strategies; skilled in adapting and creatively solving problems while assisting others in overcoming resistance to change.
