Regional Public Affairs Manager

📋 Description

• Engage in substantial regional travel, typically between 30-40%, reaching each City of License within your designated territory.

• Attend each City of License at least the minimum number of times per year as specified by the Director.

• Strategically plan territory travel to meet compliance requirements while considering travel-related expenses.

• Record your discussions, observations, and activities in each city or market to identify the needs and concerns of local residents.

• Build and nurture relationships with local volunteers (CCVs) in each full-powered signal City of License within your region.

• Establish and sustain ongoing connections with local, state, and federally elected officials concerning City of License compliance.

• Ensure that jurisdictions can access the K-LOVE Air1 News Department to report critical situations that need on-air attention.

• Gather relevant public affairs interviews, edit them, and submit for airing on local stations as part of the weekly Closer Look program.

• Conduct interviews in person or via phone using provided equipment.

• Leverage your understanding of the “K-LOVE Sound” and report any issues regarding a station's performance.

• Actively discuss and resolve performance issues with Signal Development and Engineering in relation to FCC compliance.

• Request and place orders for free local Public Service Announcements (PSAs) to be aired in Cities of License, highlighting local concerns, free community events, or directing listeners to local service providers.

• Collaborate with other departments on event planning in your territory as directed.

• Complete all accountability paperwork using software such as Concur, Service Now, Sharepoint, and Aquira promptly as directed by your manager.

• Participate in remote staff meetings with fellow RPAMs and travel to Franklin HQ for various events, including the annual Christmas Banquet.

• Proactively propose and implement innovative methods to ensure FCC compliance.

• Regularly communicate these proposals to the Sr. Regional Public Affairs Manager or Director of Public Affairs as appropriate.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, public relations, or a combination of education/training with relevant experience.

• At least five years of experience in marketing, customer relations, brand management, or related fields.

• Extensive experience with audio production, from initial capture to digital editing.

• Proficiency in Adobe Audition is preferred.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, enabling the development of genuine business/ministry relationships.

• Strong communication and presentation abilities.

• Proven capability to work independently, setting and achieving performance/ministry goals.

• Strong self-management skills necessary to accomplish objectives on time.

• Keen attention to detail.

• Willingness to travel up to 50% annually to Cities of License within your territory.
