Regional Planned Giving Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Engaging in the cultivation, solicitation, securing, documentation, and stewardship of planned gifts, including wills, charitable trusts, charitable gift annuities, beneficiary designations, and other strategies to support the Mission of The Salvation Army.

• Fostering and sustaining robust relationships with donors and their professional advisors.

• Addressing inquiries and maintaining communication with donors, prospects, advisory board members, and Salvation Army staff and Officers.

• Conducting personal visits after identifying potential donors, consulting with individuals on specific planned giving options and aiding them in their charitable estate planning to determine the most suitable planned gift for their unique situations.

• Educating advisory boards and sharing success stories and strategies related to planned giving.

• Participating in conferences and training sessions, while keeping current knowledge and awareness of planned giving practices and related legislation regarding taxation.

• Frequently traveling within the regions of Broward and Miami-Dade Counties, including the Florida Keys.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of three years of experience demonstrating success in the fundraising sector, including planned giving, major gifts, development, capital campaigns, or related fields (such as financial advising or external territorial sales).

• A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, but not mandatory.

• Proven ability and experience in establishing strong relationships with individual clients.

• A self-motivated individual capable of working independently from a personal home office with minimal supervision.

• Experience in actively developing, cultivating, stewarding, and managing a portfolio of donors or prospects.

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including the ability to deliver public presentations.

• A valid State Driver’s License.

• This role necessitates an active Christian faith that aligns with Salvation Army doctrine and practice.
