Regional Operations Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.

📋 Description

• Oversee all operational and business functions within a designated geographic area.

• Implement and manage business processes that impact profit and loss in FHI’s unloading operations.

• Provide guidance to the Director of Operations on strategic business decisions.

• Work collaboratively with executives, HR, finance, accounting, IT, and other support leaders to make operational adjustments.

• Mentor direct reports, management teams, and operational leaders.

• Conduct regular one-on-one coaching sessions each month with direct reports.

• Establish expectations regarding customer service, safety, employee development, and training.

• Evaluate direct-report performance against role expectations and key performance indicators (KPI) goals.

• Ensure that operational audit procedures align with company policies, procedures, and core values.

• Consistently apply federal, state, and local regulations throughout the region.

• Engage in Customer Top-To-Top meetings and operational Continuous Improvement Meetings.

• Willingness to travel frequently to assigned locations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven management experience in warehouse, shipping, or receiving, preferably within the grocery supply chain.

• A minimum of 3 years of management experience in a warehouse setting.

• Familiarity with HR-related activities.

• Skills in production and financial analysis.

• Experience in customer relationship management.

• Proven track record of leading and coaching operational teams.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capacity to use influence to foster positive and effective relationships.

• Proficient in computer usage and Microsoft Office applications.

• Valid driver's license required.

• Must successfully pass a background check.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, pull, stretch, twist, and lift to manage products and operate warehouse dock equipment safely.

• Capacity to work in varying temperature environments, both hot and cold.

• Willingness to travel frequently to assigned locations.

• Ability to see both close and at a distance to focus on a computer screen for most of the workday.
